A V-Plex module that lets you add two-wire or four-wire smoke detectors to a V-Plex system, either one by one or grouped into zones.
What it does
The 4209U powers and supervises industry-standard two-wire smoke detectors, and it also supports four-wire smokes. Each loop can handle up to 16 smoke detectors, grouped or not. It can be mounted at the panel or out in the building, and it uses a separate DC input so it does not draw current from the main V-Plex loop.
Works with
Made for V-Plex panels such as the Vista-128BPT, Vista-250BPT and Vista-128FBPT. It does not work with the Vista-20P, which does not support V-Plex. Check the smoke detector UL compatibility listing before you choose detectors.
Why you want it
Covers a large area with smoke detection at a modest cost, with every loop supervised.
