Adds eight more hardwired zones to a Vista panel when you run out of zones.
What it does
The 4219 connects to the panel four-wire ECP bus and adds eight zone inputs, each with a 2K end-of-line resistor. DIP switches set its address and zone range, and it can be placed anywhere along the bus. Loops are supervised for open, shorted and normal conditions, with a broad 300 ohm tolerance.
Works with
Works with the Vista-20P and other Vista panels. It does not work with the VISTA H3, which uses its own VISTAHEXPHW expander, and it is not compatible with the Vista-128 series, which needs a 4208U.
Why you want it
Adds zones without replacing the panel, so the system can grow with the house.
