The 5816OD is a weatherproof 5800-series transmitter for gates, sheds and detached garages, where an indoor sensor would not survive.
What it does
It is a weather-resistant outdoor transmitter with two zones: a built-in magnetic reed switch and a normally closed loop that accepts an outdoor-rated pull-apart contact or other external device. The dark gray housing can be painted with plastic-safe paint to match its surroundings.
Works with
Works with Vista panels that have a 6160RF, 6150RF or 5881ENH receiver, natively on Lynx Touch, and on ProSeries with a PROTAKEOVER module. It does not work on the VISTA H3 without a module we do not stock.
Why you want it
It protects outbuildings and gates at extreme temperatures, and the wired loop lets you add an outdoor-rated contact.
